Dianne Haynes Miley: 2022 Hall of Fame Alumni, Class of 1980

Dianne Haynes Miley

Dianne Haynes Miley, Class of 1980, has always made her faith the basis on which she has lived.  In addition to being a mother and working as an accountant for her husband’s business, she became a Christian author of fiction and non-fiction books.  Dianne has been writing for over 20 years.  Time To Enjoy Your Blessings is her non-fiction book about Christian life and time management based on simplicity and priorities.  She also writes a blog on her website.

Dianne’s fiction books in The Crystal Falls Series are four Christian romantic novels set in small town Ohio.  Crystal Falls is a fictional cross between Chardon and Chagrin Falls. The books are Lilacs for Laura, Roses for Rachel, Violets for Vanessa, and Sunflowers for Sarita.

After moving to Charleston, South Carolina, Dianne founded the non-profit SOUL – Sanctuary for Unborn Life.  The organization helps women with unplanned pregnancies find safe housing and provides financial assistance, baby supplies, mentoring, budgeting, and other life skills education.  As founder and executive director, Dianne was responsible for fund raising, marketing, managing volunteers, working one-on-one with clients, running a weekly support group and overseeing the business side of the organization.

Since Dianne and her husband Chip moved to Concord, North Carolina, she now serves as board president of SOUL and continues writing novels and the blog.  She has been married almost 40 years and has two married children: son Nick, and daughter Melissa, and one grandson, Jason, who prompted the move to North Carolina.
